Peter C.B. Bynoe founded TELEMAT LTD (now TELEMAT LIMITED LLC), a project management and consulting firm in 1982.  Over the last 40 years, Mr. Bynoe and the Firm have executed a number of important assignments on behalf of clients as well as the Firm's Principals.

Between 1988 and 1995 Mr. Bynoe managed three significant transactions in the professional sports sector.  As CEO of the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority, a joint venture of the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, he oversaw all elements of the negotiation, financing, design and construction of the New Comiskey Park, now known as Guaranteed Rate Field.  Mr. Bynoe brought the $250MM project in on schedule and under budget.

In 1989 he organized an investment group that purchased the NBA's Denver Nuggets.  As Managing Partner, Mr. Bynoe planned, organized and executed the $65MM acquisition and became the first African-American to hold a controlling interest in a professional sports franchise in the USA.  Mr. Bynoe sold his interest in the team in August 1992.

Mr. Bynoe also served as a consultant to the Atlanta Fulton County Recreation Authority and the Atlanta Committee to Organize the Olympic Games in their efforts to prepare for the 1996 Summer Games.  Mr. Bynoe was involved in: defining the conceptual framework; developing the budget; and managing the negotiations for the construction of the 85,000 seat Olympic Stadium and its conversion into the 45,000 seat Turner Field that served as home to the Atlanta Braves from 1997 to 2016.

From 1995 to 2008 Mr. Bynoe served as a Senior Partner at the international law firm DLA Piper (US) LLP. He developed the Firm's Sports Facilities Practice Group and represented clients involved in the development and financing of new facilities for the: Cincinnati Reds; Cincinnati Bengals; Washington Redskins; Miami Heat; Milwaukee Brewers; San Francisco 49ers; and Minnesota Vikings.  Mr. Bynoe also advised the London Olympic Committee for the 2012 Summer Games.  Mr. Bynoe served on the Firm's Executive Committee and as Chair of its Diversity Committee.  From 2009 to 2016 Mr. Bynoe served as Senior Counsel to the Firm.   In January 2020, he returned to DLA Piper as a Senior Advisor.

From January 2009 to August 2013, Mr. Bynoe was a partner and COO of Loop Capital Markets, a full-service investment banker/broker dealer.  From September 2013 to October 2014, Mr. Bynoe served as CEO of Rewards Network, an Equity Group Investments (EGI) portfolio company, providing financial services to restaurants, nationwide.  EGI is a family office private equity firm controlled by Sam Zell.  From October 2014 to December 2019, Mr. Bynoe served as a Managing Director of EGI, evaluating investment opportunities and overseeing portfolio investments.  He led EGI's investment in Ardent Health Services, a for-profit hospital system of 30 acute care hospitals in six states.  Mr. Bynoe continues to serve on Ardent's Board of Trustees.

Mr. Bynoe serves on the Board of Directors of TKO Group Holdings, American professional wrestling and MMA combined company.  In August 2020 he became Chairman of Flagship Communities REIT, owner and operator of 45 high-quality, income producing manufactured housing communities in 4 contiguous Midwest American states.  Mr. Bynoe also serves as a Life Trustee of the Goodman Theatre, Vice Chair of the Rush University Medical Center and a Trustee of the CORE Center for Research and Care of Infectious Diseases.  He formerly served as Chairman of the Chicago Plan Commission, the Chicago Landmarks Commission and the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority.  Mr. Bynoe has served as a Director of the following SEC reporting companies: Jacor Communications; River Valley Savings Bank; Huffman-Koos Company; JG Industries; Uniroyal Technology Corporation; Real Industry, Inc.; Fronter Communications Corporation; and Covanta Holding Corporation.

Mr. Bynoe earned his JD degree from Harvard Law School and his MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business.  He received a BA degree, cum laude, from Harvard College.  He is a member of the Illinois Bar and a registered real estate broker.
